THOMAS P. DOYLE, P.E.
President & CEO
Mr. Doyle leads NRG's solar business. He has over 25 years of development and engineering experience associated with large-scale solar and more conventional power generation projects. At his previous position with BrightSource Energy as Executive Vice President of Global Development, Mr. Doyle led the efforts to secure the largest series off-take agreements in the solar industry (2,600 MWs) and supervised efforts to acquire a portfolio of land and transmission assets capable of supporting an additional 20 GWs of solar power projects. Mr. Doyle has held a variety of senior management positions with InterGen, including General Manager North America, and with Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation, where he served as Managing Director, Asia. Mr. Doyle has an MBA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona
W. RICHARD GROSDIDIER
Vice President, Finance
Mr. Grosdidier is responsible for ensuring that all development and acquired projects are structured so as to support project financing. He has 28 years of experience in the energy business as an institutional equity investor, project developer and senior lender both domestically and in Asia. Most recently, Mr. Grosdidier has held senior positions at Cogentrix, Foster Wheeler, DZ Bank AG and Next Era Energy. While at Next Era Energy, Mr. Grosdidier was responsible for structuring wind and solar projects and provided financial input into the acquisition of renewable energy projects. During his tenure at Next Era, he also raised in excess of $1.3 billion in senior non-recourse project debt from various sources of debt capital. Mr. Grosdidier holds a Juris Doctor and an MBA from the University of Dayton and an undergraduate degree in finance from Wilkes College.
TIM HEMIG
Vice President, Solar Development
Mr. Hemig has nearly 18 years of experience in the energy industry, including ten years developing and managing solar and conventional power projects for NRG. As Vice President of Development, Mr. Hemig is responsible for leading NRG Solar's green-field development efforts. Prior to his position at NRG Solar, Mr. Hemig was the Director of Environmental Business of NRG's power generating assets in California and Nevada, representing approximately 2,200 MW of power generating capacity. Prior to NRG, Mr. Hemig worked at Dynegy and DESTEC Energy, managing environmental compliance and permitting for the company's fleet of power generating facilities in California.
KEITH LATHAM
Vice President, Solar Development
Mr. Latham is Vice President, Development for NRG Solar LLC supporting NRG Solar’s green-field development and merger and acquisition activities. Before joining NRG, Mr. Latham ran his own energy consulting firm, Kaltech, Inc. At Kaltech, one of his primary clients was Solel, a leading solar thermal development company. He helped oversee project development for Solel’s solar projects—including facility siting and due diligence—in California and other states. Previously, Mr. Latham worked for Sempra Global, a part of Sempra Energy, overseeing permitting for fossil fuel power plants in Texas, Nevada and other states. He’s a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
DALLAS THARPE
Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Tharpe brings 29 years of power experience to NRG Solar in areas of operations, engineering, construction and project development. Prior to joining NRG Solar, Mr. Tharpe lead plant operations for NRG's South Central Region, which consists of 3,100 MW of coal and gas generation capacity. Prior to joining NRG, Mr. Tharpe led efforts for SUEZ Energy to complete construction activities and resolve warranty issues on a large lignite-fired Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) coal and subsequently a Frame G combined-cycle gas project. Previous to this, Mr. Tharpe worked for Entergy as Director of Development Support in their non-regulated power development group, in addition to 20 years in their plant operations group.
RANDALL HICKOK
Vice President, Asset Management
Mr. Hickok is responsible for the commercial management of the NRG Solar fleet of projects, including oversight of the projects through construction/commissioning and operations & maintenance of the facilities. He has 23 years of energy industry experience which include the commercial management of merchant power plants, direction of the operations and maintenance of a fleet of generating assets, management of regulatory and legislative affairs, strategic planning and analysis, and mergers and acquisitions work. Most recently Mr. Hickok held senior positions at Dynegy, LS Power, and Duke Energy where he performed the asset management function for a varying fleet of power plants in the Western United States. Mr. Hickok holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University with majors in Finance and Business Analysis. |
